Backdoor Bakery porch

The Backdoor Bakery has been a dream of mine for years. And until just recently, baking was my hobby, not my career. Our move to Vermont from Washington, DC allowed this to happen. We chose Vermont for its independent spirit and support of everything local, micro, and organic. It helped, too, that Patti accepted a position at St. Michael's College as a professor of anthropology and gender studies. When she is not traipsing around the globe on research, Patti helps me at the bakery with marketing and product development. I am starting the bakery off small, but hope it grows into the village bakery, offering various baked goods and a community-building resource for Huntington and the surrounding area.
